Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I may be alone on this but I sit senior reserve and I am not interested in a seniority based reserve system. Maybe something with YS pick ups but what's wrong with reserve is the pencil on paper method of determining trips all of which is hidden from us before, during and after.
It may be an Icrew thing as that system is horrifically dated.
But a RAW score system is fair and predictable imo.

Maybe I can help. As one who was "stuck" on reserve. You would put a card in (electronically) for position as a temporary block holder. If the company needed more, presto, you became a blockholder for the month. It would happen prior to monthly bidding and you participated just like permanent blockholders. I was able to hold a temp block for up to 6 months out of the year this way.

) and reserve at their own choice monthly. It gives you the choice and variety without being locked into one or the other. And as Ferd says, without monthly bids, it's even worse. Don't really see the advantage of separate "lists"

We've wasted far more than a billion and change every year per year for a very long time on mega management blunders, hedging high and selling low, building a new oversized terminal in BOS so the competition could walk into our old one and dominate the market, billions and billions on blundered long term RJ contracts, exponentially increasing management bonuses in the face of some of the worst job performance the industry has ever seen and many, many others. Not to mention, how much in total did the little trip through Bankruptcy cost?
If we had the countless billions back our management teams have wasted on History Channel-esque blunders we'd be the most powerful airline on the planet.
Besides, what you worry we may not be able to afford is already being afforded by our primary low cost domestic competition in small 737's.
We can easily afford it...if we have the management talent to back it up. New flight bag sticker?..."It's The Management, Stupid!"
They found a billion a year in bag fees a while ago, not mention other ancillary revenue. Plus when fuel for 2011 went up above its already high budgeted amounts by another 3 billion, they found that as well, and managed to be very profitable.
