FWIW, I flew with one of the big wigs lately who had recently spoken with Mr. Kraby- he quoted him as saying hiring by the end of 2012.

Until the AMR endgame comes into focus there will be no hiring...we'll run on GS.

When GS flow like manna, hiring is close ;-)

I think at CAL they furlough until they can ensure all open time is covered on inverse assignments at straight pay.

As long as we are overstaffed that would be true. The contract however specifies manning. If they reach the manning minimums they will have to hire pilots or cut back on the number of block hours. If they are getting into a high greenslip situation then they likely are at the manning limits and the contract would govern.

I thought you couldn't land an airbus in a crosswind?

And holy crap those Condor guys made it look ugggglllyyyy. I've never seen a 757 wheelbarrow land before.

A couple notes- US does not include HP, which would skew the US line about 1/3-1/4 the way toward the DL/AA lines. UA is not verified.

And I thought WN's retirement picture looked bad- check out B6.

When I look at todays seniority list it looks as if 15 years of seniority puts you right at 50%. It looks as if the massive hiring will move that hitting 50% to about 12-13 years. It's significantly better, but not necessarily massive movement. Maybe my calculating is off though as I can't tell what year we hit 50%.

Not that it matters one bit. Too many variables, guys leave a lot earlier than planned sometimes in far large numbers than would legitimately be estimated. heck we're only about 40 guys from no longer having 12,000 hired.

I hear that since the MD-88's can't do the RNAVs off the north side of ATL anymore that they are looking at retrofitting them with this for added performance:

I never saw the dog.

All I saw was butt and wondered, is that one of those women in MIA who went for butt filler to make their butt more round and the fake doctor used concrete?

Just in time for me to convert to the ER

Right on Sailing, we're saying the same thing...
