Anyway it is my duty as an APC fellow member to pass on a couple of "things" i have heard from the little black bird. Maybe they are false, maybe they are true. Who knows, but ill pass them on to you.

1) RA wants 777s. (Ive said this before-a handful)-->Cargo meeting about 6 weeks ago. This was said.
2) Check guy told me that there will be a big announcement in APRIL (didnt know what )
3) HE also stated that it is in the books-->We need to start hiring 500/year for up to 5000. The start date is 2015. WOAH!!!

Thats all--from the "onion" I bid you Guten Morgan!

TEN

In April the suits will announce an upcoming "Big Announcement" that they will announce in 4-6 more weeks.

If that's the case, my money is on the 777/300LR, carries more cargo than 7478 or A380, but is efficient enough to make it work with only pax. Gravy either way...

George

...or should I say Guten Morgen!

This bid could be a 365 since the last one was last years 365 bid, and as a result most of the training would not start until fall. As a result would allow them to reverse much of it with a subsequent AE, and then start hiring pilots a few months early, and or acquire someone and quickly kill the overlap thus resulting in no need for bodies.

ACL, I think you're sniffing up the right tree!

To many disparate indicators to make any one of the current narratives plausible...

It was all 80ktsClamp's fault.

80 posted a bunny with a pancake on its head.
As night follows day, this led directly to the historic first underboob pic.

With pancakes.

Superpilot92 then provided the spark that started the revolution. For his efforts he was recognized with another milestone. The first Delta pilot to be banned from APC.

The historic masterpiece photo has since been removed from APC and placed in the Smithsonian Air Museum, but I believe it was a young female of the well endowed yet scantily clad variety in a torn off football jersey flipping pancakes.

A rabbit with a cake on his head.

And the coup de grace was delivered a few hours later when acl changed his avatar to the infamous "humping lizards".

From that moment on, the Renaissance had begun and its been all downhill from there.

Displacements vs orders sure looks like a classic carrot and stick routine...don'cha know!

Yep, plus a few others things that I have been hearing from a few different angles.

Suffice to say, DAL has a lot of things they are working on, but a few of them need to come together for them to commit.

Maybe they'll use the AMR trick and say, "well, we want to order these 777-300s but only if we can keep the pay rates 'competitive' with American, and you know they are only getting 1.5% pay raises for six years..."

As we speak, they're projecting how that 777 FO is going to take that narrowbody capt slot. One training event, piece of cake.

What was that Einstein quote? Insanity is repeating the same thing expecting a different result.

Considering what was stated after the last bid, they were "pleasantly surprised" that it costed quite a few less training slots than they had planned.

Needless to say there is some negative learning going on in crew planning.

Ahhh... those were the days. I'd forgotten about the lizards humping avatar! That was one of the best avatars ever.
