Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
They can't change the benefits on a whim. In fact the current non rev benefit is much better then what we once had which was 15 dollars per segment for every flight if you had less then 10 years with the company. The company once made a unilateral change in pass benefits. DALPA filed and won a grievance. The company sent me a nice 3000 dollar check for the increase in my previous year non rev fees. 50 is a bargan compared to those days.
You guys have been mesmerized by too many bewb shots if you think the 717s are going to wind up here.

Same here! If contract 2012 does not restore our pay, I'm out the door as well. In fact, I have some gigs short-listed already... each of them pays more than twice what I'm making now at Delta. There all a lot of opportunities out there. In fact, if the management wants to try furlough to scare us, I say BRING IT ON! In fact, I would be delighted. But I won't give a single concession on scope nor would settle for anything less than restoration of my 40% paycut.

Man, you guys are lucky there aren't many chicks on this board......

Just saw this.
Flow Through Agreements. As of now, there is no flow through agreement in place for ExpressJet pilots. The working group called Delta Connection Pilot Alliance (DCPA) consists of the ALPA Delta Connection carriers of ASA (now ExpressJet), Comair, Compass, and the new Pinnacle. This group has been looking to develop a flow through agreement with Delta and is focused on those pilots serving the Delta Connection system. Since it is easy to determine who that is in our combined pilot group, those flying the CRJ could become eligible in the event that an agreement is reached; however, there is nothing that includes the ERJ pilots at this time. These discussions are still in the infancy stage with the Delta MEC and, therefore, Delta Airlines management. I have been part of these meetings in the past, as have previous chairmen. Additionally, the XJT MEC has tasked me to form an alliance with the ALPA carriers flying in the United Express system. This group could be tasked by their respective MECs to work on a flow through agreement with the United MEC and United Airlines management. I am in the beginning stages of forming this alliance.

I don't know what the MEC's opener on scope will be. It should reflect the wishes of the pilots via the contract survey. I have not spoken with a single rep who is willing to give anything up in scope.
The only portion of the survey I have any knowledge of is some idea of where the pay raise numbers came in at. I have also heard that the overall cost per block hour numbers for 2011 especially between DAL and SWA will be surprising and not in our favor with openers being exchanged. We had a large amount of overtime flying in 2011 combined with the 4 percent raise moved the DAL number up quite a bit more then SW. We are not ahead of them but the difference narrowed a lot.

Sailing,
"Whats with the negative waves?"

DAL 2011 revenue: 35.12B/12056 Pilots = $2,913,072 per Pilot.
LUV 2011 revenue: 15.5B/6104 Pilots = $2,565,530 per Pilot.
Revenue numbers from Yahoo Finance.
Pilot numbers from APC Airline profiles.
Delta Pilots produce more revenue per Pilot than Southwest Pilots. You can argue numbers many different ways - I think this is might be a good starting point.
Scoop
Pass travel benefits here are better than most places. I think the UAL guys pay $10 per leg domestic and $50 international plus the taxes. The only place I know of that is nicer domestically is JetBlue because they don't oversell their flights so there is almost always open seats and all travel is free. The UAL guys also just did away with buddy passes and got to add one more pass rider on their list....I kinda like that idea since our buddy passes are already more expensive than just buying your buddy a ticket on an LCC of their choice.

Scoop
Great point Scoop but we could make the numbers more accurate and it our favor.
If you take the Form 41 data and adjust it for augmented operations we are generally more efficient that LUV.
