None of the stuff you mention has been agreed to. The things I am talking about have been agreed to according to our negotiator's notepad. It seems the company is not agreeing to very many positive items. Ending the sick harassment program is bull. That program shouldn't be here to begin with. The company started it on its own last year. Ending the 75 percent sick pay is a win, but as I understand it is just restoring an old contract item that was stolen from us.
Take a breath.... we aren't even sure whether we will see a TA or not! Dang dude! "Serenity now...." |

DON'T JUDGE AN ENTIRE AGREEMENT BY A FEW BULLET POINTS!! You are literally NOT a party to the negotiations.......

Bingo. It's pretty sad what we've been seeing on here lately.

We don't know when we will see one, but we know we will see one eventually. And we know, 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, that it will allow more large RJ's at DCI yet be called a scope victory. And we know it will have at least several work rule concessions that may or may not be exceeded by gains but it will be called a net gain no matter what. We know it won't have SWA rates or W-2's for 130-ish seat narrowbody equipment and up from there, yet it will be called industry leading. Other than that its a mystery.

Guilty I guess. No one wants me to eat crow more than me though, believe me.
1. You've gone into deep speculation well beyond the level of detail that is known. 2. You've gone further and speculated into the consequences of that which you speculated on. You're not the only one, but it boils down to just spinning your wheels and getting your blood pressure up (if you're senior to me, by all means keep it up :D ) over nothing. In the meantime, I've nearly completely disconnected mentally from this until we see some actual language. That and laughing at hockeypilot calling himself permanently on rsv when he's projected to retire in the top 10 or so. |

Normally I'm right with your posts, but here's where you lost me:

There is only one reason DALPA has been dancing around the issue and wont simply state "We aim to reduce outsourced RJ's, especially those larger than 50 seats". They are layering the leaks, trying to upsell even the bad then hope when they spring the 20 to 30% raise everybody will overlook the backslide about to occur from lousy work rules and more outsourced flying. The warning signs are already there, but some choose to look the other way and will settle for a pay raise. |

If you haven't picked up that the final proposal will include more 76 seaters from the cryptic, Clintonesk worded updates regarding scope then you simply aren't using common sense.

We'll see if we get a TA and what it holds. They know the consequences of putting out a poor product. I'll reserve judgement until that day comes.
Just saying. |
