Go back and read my posts. I stated it was rumored. The schedule block is however fact. I have confirmed all the trip drops are coded ALPA as a fact. All these forums are about is rumors. In this case the MEC has pledged to be very open in all its dealings with the pilots. I do not find a single word about this incident anywhere on the ALPA website.

Thanks for propogating and undermining our bargaining agent leading into openers.

So?
If anything even remotely close to what's rumored happened, there's obviously an investigation going on with potentially serious consequences. The person in question being a rep doesn't mean all privacy and due process go out the window. Likewise, transparency doesn't mean completely open source live real time streaming of every detail.
I'm 100% fine with a couple months of ALPA leave (with pay) while this very serious issue is looked into and all sides are given their chance to make their case and its looked at with cooler heads far, far, far away from the "hey did you hear?!?!" forum peanut gallery pitchfork mob demanding instant street justice along with live streaming access to every aspect of the process. Anything short of that and there's really no point in even having a union.

Curious why the 765 is a true widebody, but the 767 is not.
Same width, similar destinations, mix of domestic and intl... Should we revisit the definitions now that the venerable 747 is gone?
I propose:
Super Premium Widebody - Cappuccino machine, Dual Crew
Premium Widebody - Normally over 12 hours, but no cappuccino
Widebody - International three pilot crews
Wannabe Widebody - Twin Aisle, Twin Pilot domestic and Hawaii is Domestic!!
The top of the 7ER list will likely end up on the 330, bringing that down a bit into the 4,000 range. The bottom of the 7ER will fill out the 320/73N categories as they grow.
Over the hypothetical 30 year career we are discussing, there will be more new airplanes like the 797 and retirements of just about everything currently in the fleet.

Many of us have "very serious (personal) issues" and don't lean on ALPA pay to get ourselves through them financially unscathed. Just because an ALPA rep allegedly committed assault doesn't mean it's an ALPA issue, just like him beating his wife wouldn't have been an ALPA issue either.

I have absolutely no problem with him being on paid administrative leave while an investigation is conducted. Thats standard practice almost everywhere.

ALPA pay is to do ALPA stuff for ALPA pilots. ALPA pay is not (in my understanding) to give someone time to cool off and recover from their own missteps. If a guy or gal can't accomplish their work obligations, they are free to drop trips, take a PLOA, use sick leave where appropriate or otherwise coordinate with the company to get their stuff in a sock.

I tend to agree with you however the union should be open and upfront with what is happening. This issue should also not take months to reach a conclusion.
I honestly don’t know, but that should be the standard by which this guy is held to. What’s good for the goose....and all that.

If I assaulted, or was assaulted by my FO during a 4 day trip, would Delta pay me while they investigated the situation? Or would we be suspended without pay until they decided what to do with us?
