Online degrees are less than some brick and mortar degrees. Some online degrees will score better than brick and mortar especially if that person got a 2.3 in English from Kent State.
Dude, you aren’t comparing them equally. Sure, what you say is accurate. However, when all values the same, they are not equal at all.

And neither is the absolute of "Delta won't hire you if you have an online degree" and "online< in residence.". Refer back to my previous post if you're confused.

Because "quite a few guys have them", that's the be all and end all to your logic of how they are equal or possibly even better?
Do you think they give bonus points to an on-line degree over an in-residence degree?
I don't think all degree avenues are weighed equally
I don't think all majors are weighed equally
I don't think all institutions are weighed equally
Whats' better, a 2.2 GPA from the academy in general studies or an on line degree in aerospace engineering with a 3.9 from a reputable school?
And, we really aren't comparing them to NO degrees are we....talk about faulty logic?
OBTW...what's the Academy? Star-fleet Academy? Boy Scout Academy? Academy of Liberal Arts at the Ringling Brothers Big Top Show Extravaganza in Sarasota? I mean nothing compares to the Academy....am I right?

Yes they are but quite a few guys here have them. Most online schools are regionally accredited, look up what that means.

Which academy do you think?
MOGuy, the important thing is whatever you do make it because you wanted to do it. Not for DAL, not for any job. If you are interested in the area you will study in the masters program and you see personal benefit, then do it. If you are getting a pay to play online degree to impress DAL, skip it. If you volunteer with an organization because it is a cause dear to you then devote more time. If you are calling around to see which volunteer organization fits best in your schedule so you can log the hours don’t bother. If you like the place you work and feel like your skills and leadership will help the company and give you job satisfaction, then apply for an open management position. If you get hired into a management position and are working 60-80 hours a week at a job you hate then it will not benefit your application to DAL. There are things that look good on an app but in the end if you get the interview and have nothing good to say about those experience then they won’t matter. Good on you for putting your family first in your decisions, keep that up and you will get where you want, and are suppose, to be.
Good input from everyone. It’s a tricky thing to navigate. Many of us were coming out with new wings and a license to learn at the tail end of the crash and the paths to a major weren’t as clear cut as they are now for a freshly minted CFI.

Dude, really....look up "sarcasm"....Academy ?????
Look up my original post. Did I ever state that the majority of pilots had on-line degrees? You have missed the boat if that is what you think my position was.....maybe that's why you started with the insult, "Your logic it flawed again.... the majority of pilots don’t have online degrees."
You must have misinterpreted my original post
