Let's just hope that the guys Delta does take from Mesaba and Pinnacle via flow and SSP respectively, treat the opportunity like good and don't squander it for those behind them by acting entitled. At the same time, hopefully junior DAL guys will not begrudge flow folks or guys in the SSP who only did a one day interview.

I don't think you need to worry about that. Everyone will be happy about finally getting some positive movement that you'll be welcome with open arms, regardless of your background.

Even flow pilots (of which I am not one). Have to complete an app on airline apps. In the addendum section there is an option to check for Mesaba/Compass Flow.

What are you talking about? A military flow in the late 80's, I had not heard of that.

In reality, I assume that in the late 80's many civilian and military pilots sent their apps in to Delta, competed for jobs and 400 were hired.

Everybody is turning this into a mil vs civ thing. Never have I said anything even remotely indicating that. If the military did have a flow I would argue the same issue, reversed. My son flys for a regional and would like to compete for a Delta job just as much as my mil buds.
