Concerning compass. My understanding is they have approximately 160 that will be given a flow left this year. Then they are done with the guaranteed flow guys. Could someone in the know give facts concerning this?
Mesaba flows have been done for a while. The last XJ flow was put on the Delta seniority list several months ago. No more XJ flows.

Wait in the SSP line is mis-placed entitlement at best.
I wrote a letter for a highly qualified endeavor guy. He was hired earlier than his seniority, but he'd have been hired anyway IMO.

Just curious. When you say highly qualified I know that encompasses many things. Was he a training instructor or do other high up aspects for the company? Just trying to see what types of things help one get noticed quicker when they already have a guaranteed interview process.

Thanks!

Thanks! That's what I thought I heard. I'm just hopeful that shiznits is not correct on the two year mark for high off the street hires. I hope it is much sooner based on the flow pot being dried up. I know so will always be there, but when it is ssp only, that will offer many more off the street spots - hopefully.

Compass's pilot group is growing significantly over the next year with the new AA flying.

This is true, but my understanding is that only the 160 that are mentioned above are allowed a true flow. After that I'm not sure what type of offer is given to the compass guys. I've heard they will have an ssp program like endeavor, but not garranteed jobs without an interview like the current flow provides.

Maybe someone in the know can elaborate on this with facts.

I think what he means is that a growth at Compass could mean most or all of the flows going in 2015. They are limited to 25% of their pilot group flowing in a calendar year. If they grow to 640 then it is conceivable that all will flow next year. I have no idea how soon the aircraft are coming online and how much they have hired or will hire for the new AAircraft.

Ok good deal. That makes sense to. The next question is then what type of employment is offered to compass guys after the pure flow is over - ssp, off street interview?

Lear,

You will get your shot. Your diligence will pay off. My unqualified recommendation is that you stop comparing yourself to others. Update as much as you can and prepare. It is counterproductive to worry about others.

In fact, one of your previous posts showed your frustration. You do not want that to be present in your future interview. Notice I said FUTURE. Keep updating. Prepare. You will get your chance.

We have only put through around 550 new hires in 2014. The hiring has not even started. Be patient.
