Delta Hiring News
#6041
A Delta pilot friend recently reviewed my app and said it was incomplete... Maiden Name needs to say "Not Applicable". EVERY box has to have something in it even if you're answering No to questions and it only asks for an explanation if you've answered yes. Is this true? I've had my app in for 7 years, no emails, so I figured what do I have to lose, I put something in every single box. 10,000+ hours total, 5000 TPIC.

I have a lot of turbine 121 PIC as well, but hearing crickets. It seems that turbine 121 PIC is not carying the weight it once was at the majors. It is definitely desirable, but not a necessity. Recently three FO's got the invite from current employer and they had no turbine PIC. It's hard to figure out what is the magic application that gets one an invite. I'm hoping for next year!

I have a question about application updates. I'm retired Navy, and I've been at Atlas for the last year and a half on the 747. After I got hired at Atlas, I stopped updating my app on a regular basis - maybe once every six months, which hardly counts. Now I have decided to start regular updates again and more aggressively pursue the opportunity to get on with a major airline, preferably with Delta. My question is, if I'm doing regular updates again, am I in good shape for getting a call? In other words, how does the computer or person, whatever it is, evaluate that aspect of an applicant? Does the period of time when I was not updating drop off the scan, or will I still be penalized for it even if I am now going to update every two weeks?

I have heard the same thing from current Delta pilots. If only they would add some instructions to airlineapps that says to fill every box. I would hate to think people have been held up bc of this but it does seem to matter.
