Anyone have any data on average ages and times of new hires these days?

That’s odd because 250 PIC in airplanes is a basic requirement for the fixed wing ATP. Are you saying that he didn’t have 250 turbine PIC or just didn’t have 250 airplane PIC?

The website doesn't specify single or multi for PIC. Just that one needs to have 250 hrs PIC in an airplane.

The company staffs for summer flying, next year. It is a dance with more than one step.

Network planning puts the music on. Crew Resources builds a model to cover whatever network plays. Then they have to staff up First Officers to cover mid seniority pilots who will bid up from the right seat. Then they have the "big bid" with the majority of Captain's slots. Then fill the holes.

Network planning's music selection works little better than my two daughters fighting with Amazon's Echo between the soundtrack for Hamilton or Frozen. As soon as "I'm not giving up my SHOT SHOT" comes on Alexa is ... "let it go, let it go"

1 May 7/7 (interviews/CJOs), 2 May (6/7). I saw 7 or 8 show for day 1 on 3 May, so they could’ve filled 20 hires in 3 days. I don’t have any visibility beyond those three days, whether they had interviews the next day or the next week, but 13 CJOs (confirmed) in two days makes 20 for the month seem like a really low bar for the apparent pace of interview work.

They were also really squishy about indoc class timeline, saying “early fall,” and that network planning was in the driver’s seat and that they didn’t have any further insight.

The latest monthly updates show about 50 CJOs in March and close to 100 CJOs in April. March may have been an intentional slow down, but they still seem to be offering around 100 CJOs/mo.

The real question is, does anybody have any concrete class dates after 5/21?

Maybe someone needs to revive that old pool thread.

Affirm, there’s a 6/4 class.
