Or, you do have brakes captain, even a handle that holds them for you. I can be heads up or heads down during taxi, but that’s entirely up to you.
You have 1 job to do, drive. I have 7. 
Our former boss used to tell us to slow down all the time. Wonder if the new guy will echo that caution.

Thank you. I don't get what is so hard for people to just do things how they are trained. Leave it up to pilots to reinvent the wheel, this is exactly the thing the entire industry has been trying to get away from. Standardization/safety is so much easier to achieve when people quit thinking they're smarter than their "master".

There is no rule requiring the taxi checklist to be done before starting the the 2nd engine. As long as you get it done use common sense.
