How far out is Delta scheduling classes? In other words, a guy "hired" today should expect a class date when? The average, please--not the "we just had a spot open up next month".

Go back a few pages and find the spreadsheet. It shows the day guys were offered a CJO, and they day they went to class. Right now it's about six months, give or take.

Badger is keeping this updated. Looks like about 7 or 8 months on the new timeline, hopefully shortening as training ramps up.



However, I heard a rumor that there's a time penalty for guys with a high percentage of their time in single-engine turbine machines.

Did any of you guys who started class today get a feel for the number of classes in June?

Looks like the 717 pace is picking up. 9 last drop and 8 this one ...

Like someone said above, its around the 6 month mark. However that still contains inertia from the original 300 being around half flows. The number is now officially twice that (or more) and the biggest flow group will soon be done for the year. If hiring keeps up like they say, I'd guess the existing wait time will decrease significantly.

Hope you are right G. It's not good to keep the best guys waiting so long.

Exactly. They will go somewhere else if they get a better offer. (I.E. Sooner class date) Has this always been Delta's protocol. When I got hired at NWA, I barely had time to give my current employer two weeks notice.

Whats the longest people have had to wait on cleared to train email? Im worried current employer may be sitting on paperwork?
