And most people can have a good idea of where they would sit based off knowledge how the system works. Plus no one has the drop so kinda of pointless. O well, you all will find out soon enough. Welcome!

Well, take heart that the pass rate is something like 80-90%. Everyone on THIS side of the table is rooting for you.

Good luck!

Wow! Classy! Thanks for your worthless input- and grammar (kinda of pointless?)

Or maybe an extra day trying to discuss with family the pros and cons of the differences! You know- have a game plan? If there are 10 people with 9xxx SSNs they probably all think they're gonna be #1 or close...

Or maybe somebody knows somebody who can get some SSN info (like has already been done)

You're welcome

Agreed. The 4 Apr class has about 9 or 10 replies, last I heard. 5 of them are 9XXX. THAT'S good info to have.

(BTW, all you quiet types out there owe me a coke for asking all these questions!)

How far down the category list the line-holders go varies by month of year, base, and equipment. In some categories at times of year the most junior Pilot can and does get a line.

For example in slow months - say February, many senior pilots will bid reserve allowing even the most junior guys to bid a line.

Without knowing the drop it doesn't matter. You can discuss before hand all you want but you still don't get the drop until the morning of the first day so you are just as well off.

Besides it doesn't matter, #1 and and #60 are all getting sea 190

I'd say your energy would be better spent listing categories in order that you desire. Take that list in day one, and when it gets to you pick your highest category still available.

Like others have said, no one knows the drop. I know that your excited, but this is a little over the top and not on the list of things you ought to concern yourself with.

What he's saying is, knowing where you fall within a class isn't as valuable to know as it might seem. You pretty much know by SSN whereabouts you'll be. Beyond that is solidly within the 'nice to know' category.

And a class of 40 could be, say, 38 M88 NYC and 2 717 NYC. Then it's all much ado about nothing, 'cause pretty much everyone's going to the Maddog in NYC and the rest are still doing nearly the same.

I'd devote all the prep time into following the threads about AEs and future fleet growth instead, found in the Latest & Greatest thread and AE discussions.
