I dunno... Last year, the dumber of my two dogs locked herself in our closet with her tail. Of all the things she decided to freak out and shred, she got my collection of my Grandpa's vintage ties and my Uniform Coat... three days before a trip. I was able to go to Abbott's that day to get fitted and picked up my coat on the way to the airport 3 days later. The $300 + gas money got deducted from the dog's lifetime vet budget, but I thought their service was quite good.

I like Abbotts shirts. I usually pick up a new one every recurrent. They wear like iron. I buy aftermarket pants.
I'm in the market for a new jacket. Path of least resistance is Abbotts.

fmrfreightdog- That was mine and my newhire classmates experience about their customer service. Maybe they've gotten better with the additional competition from M&H since the merger?
I almost forgot the shirts- there are no better shirts than what they make!

I'm on my first pair of Ecco's. By far the most comfortable uniform shoe I've ever worn (almost as comfortable as my running shoes). They look great. And from what I understand, they're very durable. If I get 5 to 10 years out of them (which it sounds like I should), then the price will have actually been a good value.
But they're expensive for a pair of shoes. $200. Probably not in the budget for a new hire.

Word of advice: The quality of Abbott's uniforms is considerably better than the quality of Crew Outfitters. I think Abbott's price is a little higher, but the coat will last a lot longer and in the long run be a better value. I also think Abbott's is pretty good at fitting and doing the alterations. Not too impressed with Abbott's pants. (I'm guessing Crew Outfitters would be even worse.) The pants won't last all that long. When it comes time to replace, I'd take the coat into a Men's Warehouse or one of the big department stores and buy a quality pair of pants that match. If you can find them on sale, they will cost you less AND you'll have a better quality pair of pants that will last longer.

Plus one for the kohls pants. They have the stretchy waste too. For those who are short (me) and/or those who work out (me) I recommend this place.

The fitted shirts are really comfortable. The standard shirts at the other stores are just to long and baggy.
