Saying any more than I've said would out him and that's not right. There's plenty of reps that have been voted out and went straight to MEC admin positions.

What do you save your outrage for PG?

Add to that list Lee Moak's recent absurd comments to Wall Street that:

ALPA pilots at the larger carriers already enjoy “mature, good contracts” already. And that radical overhauls aren’t in the cards.

or ALPA's support of allowing knives in the cabin!!!!

Delta was the first airline to come out against this ill-conceived idea. F/A unions were against it. CAPA was against it.

ALPA---for it! You just can't make this kind of stuff up folks. It would be funny if it weren't so downright scary that our NATIONAL union is that out of touch with reality!

What about ALPA's disastorous role in what has now become the Part 117 "rest" rules???

That is the true essence of a representational democracy.
I actually agree with you. The problem is for this system to work we must have a way to measure the performance or results of the system. There is no way to gauge performance when all the measuring sticks are kept super top secret. My reps lost all credibility when they told me guys wants CDOs!! Really? So those (5% maybe??) of guys who want CDOs justify back dooring them in a TA? That is not a representational democracy. CDOs are just one good example.

I predict we will see CDOs (Split-duty) in this next TA. The reason....ALPA is not a representational democracy.

It should be the same. I hear that from the former ER pilots turned 717 captains hat they spend more money on the 717 then the ER.

I have no idea how or why CDOs were part of that TA, and I'm certainly glad they were taken out. That said, the public survey that's going on through another website shows that almost 40% of guys responding are in favor of CDOs.

I predict we will not, but if we do, I believe it will be because ALPA's survey showed a majority of pilots in favor.

It certainly is true that int'l guys are fed pretty regularly while on duty, thus reducing the need for buying food during that time. That said, a meal in Paris or Rome is typically much more expensive than in Fargo or Birmingham.

I personally like the notion of indexing per diem to the layover city.
