I am sure you have taken the time to read some of the available information on how the NMB operates and their definitions of reasonableness.
Do you honestly think that if as some suggest we walked into negotiations and stated we will not accept or discuss any concessions in any section of the contract the NMB would embrace that and push us through the process to release?

I have also heard the new 100 seat jet rumor. I heard it before the 96 and 01 contracts also to include management power points on the jets they were looking at. They never showed up. I hope the new junior guys do not include the rumor in how they vote unless it is written into the contract.

It still could happen. JB does it, and at rates dramatically higher than the pathetic revolt inspiring obsolete rates we have for it in our CBA. But their 100 seater is all coach so it would likely be a high 80's or 90 seater configured for mainline.
The 717 was I think a 117 seater for AirTran, including 2 or 3 rows of first class. Its 110 for us.
In any case we need to do everything we can to shrink the large "RJ" portion of DCI. Not more 90/76 seaters for less 50's again. The 90/76ers need to be reduced, period. After that, if a 100 seater makes sense for the network, we'll get it. No concessions necessary.

DALPA Lame Excuse For The Day
"The value we can grab today is fleeting."
We need to hurry and make concessions and reduce profit sharing. As Delta becomes investment grade and trades at 13 times earnings our leverage will decrease.
Only the dumbest pilots on earth would believe this fairy tale.
What's the rush?

Perhaps a contract is close at hand!

When they were selling the 96 contract, management and the union promised it would lead to "unprecedented growth".
Turned out ... not so much.
