Someone should rapidly make a chart that shows what kind of money we'd get with Delta making $5B, 6, 7, and up as a percentage of pay. Like 2014 $4.5B equated to 23% of one's income. I don't know the math or I'd do it.

Years ago we made numerous complaints about the requirements to get to EWR. The company agreed to quit building rotations out of EWR. This was followed almost immediately by massive complaints from pilots who wanted the EWR trips back. It's kind of like CDO's. You have a group of pilots who wanted them and when they made a appearance a big group wanted them killed. Pleasing pilots is probably harder then sending a manned mission to Mars!
That doesn't mean we should do it, and it certainly doesn't mean we should just put it all on the entire pilot group in those bases if we did. Line holders, reserves, locals, commuters, are all negatively effected by things like this except the very few that actually live in a position to benefit from it.
EWR is completely unrealistic unless they want it as a separate stand alone base. Transportation is a pittance to continue to tolerate the ridiculousness of that "co-terminal".

Nope. Was before may or may not ever be again. If I am this won't effect me anyway. That's not relevant though. Covering that much real estate/traffic/expense is completely unreasonable even if the majority of the base wasn't commuters, which it is and always will be. JFK/LGA isn't nearly as bad but EWR should be either a separate domicile or just another overnighting city. Blending all 3 is a major long standing concession.
