Credit where credit is due.
Just think about how extraordinarily difficult it must have been for the Delta negotiators to keep from falling out of their chairs laughing every time they sat down with the DALPA NC.
They deserve a huge raise.

Is anybody taking this guy seriously? He's telling us the reason the vote time is being compressed is to get us more pay sooner? The biggest opportunity since bankruptcy to improve our contract. Records profits with an earnings call quickly approaching. A contract riddled with concessions and dubious switchbacks.
And this guy says the reason to rush is to get that money flowing sooner. As airline pilots, does that make sense to any of you.
Professor, do you compress the time for your checklists and skip your departure briefing at an unfamiliar airport because you want to start getting paid sooner?

I won't have more money if my CA seat is an E190 at these rates. B scale without that label is still a B scale. We can negotiate that rate when it gets to the property. You remember, 737-800 style.

Those are nuggets I don't like either. I am getting up to speed on what all the concessions are as well as the improvements - which there are. On balance if you don't like the TA in its entirety vote no. I am still undecided. If the nuggets are that bad I'll vote no. But right now I'm in no rush and I'll carefully sort through all the details.
But I know now this TA is more money.

"Maybe they want to do this so you cannot move your x-days in a "Rolling Thunder" strategy. You won't be able to move an additional x-day at the end of a block because they've already assigned a short call to you on that day. Just another reason to vote NO."
