Just sent this to the Council 44 Chair:
To say I am severely disappointed that this TA is being passed to the membership would be a gross understatement. A concessionary contract during the most profitable times in the history of Delta Air Lines is not what I, nor any pilot I have spoken with, asked for in our surveys/communications with our reps.
Further, the recent communication from the Council 66 Chair confirms what I already knew… that the membership direction was not followed.
Since you and the rest of LEC 44, as well as the MEC Chair and the NC, are clearly not pursuing the direction of your constituents, I intend on asking for a recall of all parties as soon as possible.
If you or any cc’d member could assist me in the details of this procedure, I would greatly appreciate it.
If the membership is to defeat this gross miscalculation, time is of the essence.
Thank you.

The deeper I dig into this POS the more outraged I become. Are we going Bankrupt again, right now??
What the XXXX were they smoking when they agreed to all these concessions while Delta is earning BILLIONS, and returning BILLIONS to Shareholders??
The Scope, the sick leave, the pay rates, the LCA thing, it's ALL GARBAGE!
ALL OF IT!
And we get another nickel an our for per diem?? Are they just trying to **** me off? I wouldn't be as Po'd if they left that out entirely!

Yes! Please do. Even if you can't vote ask questions, get answers. Your question is likely held by many others in the room. Depending on your age you may have the most to lose. Base dependent--the road shows are either in the pilot lounge or nearby hotels/conference centers. You have access to all the road shows, not just your base. Find one that's convenient.

Is anyone organizing something for SEA to assist with getting the word out. Please PM me I would like to help.
If you don't have the knowledge/experience/time to spearhead on your own post your base and let others know you want to help but don't know how. Hopefully you'll be recruited and pointed in the best direction.

You can do like I did in JFK telling all the pilots in the lounge that if there's anybody thinking of voting yes they should have their heads examined.

During C2012, the same hysteria was used in regards to sick leave and the RJ issue. Don't you remember the 717's were going to replace the 88's? now it's the 190's. If they lose 100 rj's over the next few years, they need to have other aircraft to replace them or they abandon markets. An airplane can only be in one place at one time. So they add more mainline to fill in.
Quit being mean and just tell me what all the terrible things are. Most of what is posted here is just overblown hype. Last time ALPA said pilots will make more money and have more mainline flying. APC comes up with crazy scenarios about how this all explodes in our faces. Three years later pilots are making more money and we hired 1500+ pilots. Who has the blinders on?

Thanks for writing them LTD. I'm ATL based and I'm going to write a similar letter. I've already heard from a couple other ATL based Captains who are talking about a recall. I'll get with them and see what they've come up with so far and keep you in the loop.

They are hoping that we will focus on the time value of an early pay increase while they sneak in a bunch of concessions.
I don't think they gave us nearly enough sugar to swallow this bitter pill. Not when you consider how profitable we are right now.

Been working the last few days.
Do we have a consensus yet on plan B? I hear a lot saying their voting no. What is the prevailing opinion?
1. We go back to RA and he capitulates.
2. RA says pound sand and see you at the NMB in March
3. NMB says, "Damn DALPA we agree with your position and we release you for self help." Timeline?
4. NMB says "Damn DALPA, can I have some of that crack you're smoking? Here's an iceberg for you to sit on for awhile." Timeline?
5. Vote in DPA and start over.
Voting No is half the equation. The other half is what happens next and when it happens. Seems if people are going to plead that everyone should vote no, they should then tell us what to expect if successful.

Not my problem. I'm a pilot. Are you? My vote is for/against a proposal NOT what the solution should be. With that said I have ZERO hesitation flying our current contract. I'll let Wall Street "assist and guide" management with a solution to their problems.
