good point, umm but to be correct, it wasn't the 'company' that did the slashing.....it was self imposed by this group on ourselves.

DOH!

As for TVM, blah blah blah

We know where we stand, and have made a choice.

Also your words

I did not say 'scope' was a throwaway item. I said 76 seaters are. But perhaps that was a bad choice of words. It is trade bait. Better? No, probably not. But I have met a lot of guys that don't care about them as passionately as many on here. Some couldn't care less.

What is the problem? I want steady pay increases without all this angst every 3-5 years, and I want to control my own retirement. Not that hard.

you are shackled with the 'what can we give away mode' as the methodology to gaining improvements in the PWA.

I do not believe most of this pilot group is buying into that mentality any longer.

The re-opener is likely viewed by a large swath of this group as reasonable and 'adequate'......and I didn't detect any such giveaways from the existing terms in that document.

if anything materially less than the re-opener is tabled for vote.....it is not likely to be approved.

True dat. That's what amuses me about calling PS "at risk" compensation. All of our compensation is always "at risk".

It will be our furloughed pilots flying them in place of mainline in the next downturn.

Who has this board held up as the gold standard for years and years and years? How has that group gotten to where they are? Now, since DAL is printing money everyone wants to throw their method out the window and swing for the fences yet again. Boom/bust mentality all over. Let's do the same thing and get a different result. Works every time. Couldn't possibly be a different way to achieve our desired results. Nope.
Yup, more vague hyperbole. There is zero substance to the above statement, it's just saber rattling.

There has been no revolutionary change in the airline model.

We will know its revolutionary when Scotty can beam you from Atl to Pvg.

All we have thats different is merged airlines exercising capacity discipline to control ticket prices vs seats. They are profitable, wildly, because they choose to be.

Do you know what scares the crap out of a GM engineer? Tesla.

The regional model is far from dead. Its just getting squeezed. Just as GMs model is far from dead.

No. Not flamebait.

If a 737 captain makes the same as a 747 captain, what basis would there be to separate them in a merged seniority list?

It's an argument they would make and one that would be seriously considered by an arbitrator.
