I was just gonna say that. It should literally be the nicest hotel on Earth but if there isn't a mini fridge...... Hotels will generally store your stuff in a freezer for your until checkout, but no one ever asks.

Ask an FA how much they make? They can't afford to eat out. Yeah, it's their choice to do the gig, but that's why they put the fridge so high on their priority list.

You can just replace the ice in the icepack that they are keeping it in all day. If it isn't keeping it cold enough in that, it's already too late to put it in the fridge after 12 hours of duty

I have noticed a few airplanes have gone to CKB for about a month. Does anyone know what we do there? Are those planes getting a new paint job or are they getting a heavy check and putting the XFA seat in?

Heavy checks and airframe mods. 2 CRJ2 lines and I think 4 or 5 CRJ7/9 lines. Paint is being done elsewhere.

I think the paint jobs are being done in GUS. Last time I was in CKB, the mechanics there showed us around the hangar. One of our 900s and several PSA 700s and 900s getting heavy mx.

Two things are happening in CKB. One there is a AD for replacing all three gear for a seal I think. Second wing strap replacement but I don’t really know what that means.

If it means the same thing as on various Beech models, it's an aftermarket piece of metal added below the wing spar to strengthen it in positive G's, but I would guess that if CRJ's had something like that it would be famous a point of ridicule.
