OO plans on keeping 7~ DL700’s for aspen....

There is nothing wrong with a fridge and microwave. The problem is when an otherwise great hotel in a great location does not provide a fridge and microwave. The FA lobby then makes a lot of noise and gets the hotel switched to a Holiday Inn Express sheethole at a truckstop, which provides fridges and microwaves.

It has happened.

I think this is some sort of narrative that is bull. It takes an armed robbery to get us out of some hotels, and you think an FA complaining about a microwave will illicit a hotel change from management? I highly doubt it.

They have already determined that the A220 would have the performance to do it, and possibly the A319 and 737.
737 can do CRW if you restrict it to 65 seats.
Curious if they can get in and make us money

Though its aspen so just charge more right?

An FA complaining will do nothing, but their LEC and MEC and Committees can, just as the pilot group does.

Southwest flies a ton of flights every day in and out of MDW (at least 1500ft less runway) and they fill them up... Delta flies their 737-700 from ATL there full too. CRW would only be an issue for the 737-700 because of ceiling and visibility below minimums as often happens there being built on top of a mountain.
As for Aspen, the issue is being able to fly the missed approach there. Maybe we can bring back the Avro for that city

Plus the 8,000 field elevation. The one engine inop performance is much better if you started with three or more.
