TW will be in management or upper ALPA management so fast there will be no commuting for him.

Congratulations to all EDV pilots that have aspirations to go to Delta, this is an awesome opportunity for the pilots eligible to flow and the one’s recently hired that cannot but will enjoy incredible movement.

This was never 9E’s fight and it is fortunate that we’ve been thrown a bone this time.

curious what makes you think that? There’s no good ole boys/girls club at DL or DALPA…they tried that experiment with Gumm and it completely backfired on the company. TW has long had a presence in MSP, last I checked all the higher up management jobs in FltOps at DL are in ATL at the GO. The only people I’m aware of commuting for any position in fltops are a few fleet captains…I just wouldn’t think he’d want to uproot everything for a few years left in his career.

And you know, they didn’t even really want him to work there. Didn’t he interview and get told no like 3 times? I don’t think anyone in flight ops really cares about his creds.

Although I have hopes of being gone before my number comes up, I appreciate the words of support.

🤣🤣🤣

No good ole boys club at Delta... What a laugh. I grew up in the NWA/Delta system, and Delta seems like about the most good ole boys airline out there.

perception is not always reality, and it appears you have some bias or negative personal experience(s) …pilots hired after 2014 now out number those hired before, the culture has changed as the old timers have been leaving.

its funny I was brought up in the red tail system and when I started at Delta there was this perception that all DL pilots were difficult to work with. I was so wrong and have enjoyed working with DL pilots more than some of the NWA guys/gals and that’s after being based in legacy DL hubs and legacy NWA hubs

Oh yeah. Lots of stories personally, and a whole bunch more from the old man. Maybe it's started to change over the last couple of years (I hope so), but I've yet to see any evidence of it... I've got about 18-24 mo. before my flow, but if I can go to UA instead that's a no-brainer for me. Thinking about B6 as well...
