If you’re DH’ing on SkyWest go up and ask if they’re staying at the same hotel, then everyone knows the deal, usually we’re not staying at the same place btw. I’ve done that on more than one occasion DH’ing on a 9e flight. Then who ever gets to the van first can hold it. But, you guys are assuming two things; the crew knows you’re staying the same hotel, and they’re aware of your existence. The only one who knows that is the van driver… sometimes.

Most crews being left behind are a result of terrible communication from the front desk.

Default I like to kid allot on these forums

On this subject, I personally think of it as a lesson learned, I don’t really remember the good Captains but I do remember the bad ones and personally say to myself thanks for being the guy I never want to be! I go out of my way to do the walk I have even chased down a last min J/S who missed the Flt and we had to gate return and kick off a pax for bad conduct. I don’t call these people out I just try to better their bad behavior with my best behavior. No it’s not a DL thing it’s a DB thing maybe you can just be your best and don’t worry about them. Karma is a lovely lady

What does “No protection” on the seniority list indicate? I was under the impression that status was for pilots who failed to complete training at Delta, but this pilot never even flowed.

I’m not sure. I think I saw that a certain percentage of the flow list would be protected?

This is correct. But I’m referring to a pilot who previously selected to flow but now shows up as “no protection” on the most recent seniority list.

It’s just a SWAG, but it’s probably for pilots who previously elected to flow and are no longer flowing. I know several senior people who were on fence up until the 11th hour and still had apprehension after submitting the decision.

That's what it is. The pilot listed as "no protection" previously elected to flow. The right to elect a protected spot expires at the notice to flow deadline, but it doesn't make sense to send them to class if they ultimately don't want to go.

So it looks like slightly under half of the pilots who have so far received invitations to flow have actually accepted? That's a little lower than I was expecting...

The acceptance rate will be near 100% once you get past the first 400.
