I don't agree with it, but presumably because there is a decent chance it gets voided by arbitration anyway after a few months.

Don't believe the TA is signed yet. Think they are going to do that during the call tonight..if not then definitely by the end of the month. So anyone who's on the seniority list the day before it's signed will be a part of it

Everything with Delta is an ultimatum, unfortunately. Will this deal be killed by arbitration, probably, but at least we still hold on to the most favorable career progression of DCI.

Any contractual extension, no matter how good or bad, should be a pilot vote. Even at Delta there was a pilot vote for the voluntary cost saving measures (20-03). Its your CBA, you own it, and should vote on it.

From the writing of the TA, we’d lost the flow if the deal is killed by arbitration no?

I doubt Delta would care how it looks. It's pretty clear they don't want a flow, and are only doing it because they want the scope more. They can also throw their hands up and say "well, we wanted to be the union said no, it's not our fault". So I wouldn't expect any sort of renegotiation if the whole thing fell apart. We'd likely just go back to the way things are now with the DGI.

Right. I’m not advocating a no vote, but the flow tied to scope (can’t say that I didn’t see it coming) is rather unfortunate.

As I understand it, if we vote no, there is no arbitration. DALPA is only going to try to make this an issue if it's an actual issue. It's a smart move on their part - if they arbitrate now and they lose, then Delta knows that if we say no, they can still get their 35 RJs back just by starting a new regional. But if they wait and we say no, then Delta has to consider that they'd go to all the trouble of starting up a new regional only to have DALPA then challenge it on the same grounds of "we signed an agreement with Compass, and this new regional isn't Compass", have DALPA win, and then they've wasted all that time and money.
