Yeah because arriving after a crew has secured the aircraft because I wasn’t down in the jetbridge and subsequently having to get the FO’s a** down there and shout “clear prop” before I restart the APU is brutal. You’re right . Point taken

Just to give the latest of many, many stories, last week we had a Delta crew deadhead in with us going to the same hotel. I had to finish a write up in the logbook, so my F/O went ahead to let people know I'd be a few more minutes. I get out to find my F/O and no van, and he tells me that I missed them by 30 seconds, but that the mainline crew wouldn't wait at all. Typical Delta...
We have a Covid LOA…we aren’t allowed to ride the van with other airlines and in some cases our own FAs. The company is very strict on this. Hotels end up getting called over this and potentially losing contracts.
Our contract also says after 20 mins (yours is 30) that if we aren’t on the shuttle and leaving you can find alternative transportation. So if your DL deadhead crew didn’t know how long it was going to take (something you never provided in your response) they were probably just following the contract. Who knows they may have even had a 10 hour overnight. Which if they are staying at a similar hotel to 9E suggests that may be the case (but I don’t know based off the lack of information you provided)
Just my opinion but I don’t think you’re telling us all the facts and variables here. As you’ve said in other posts, your distaste for DL crews is obvious. You have a preconceived notion that all DL mainline crews are bad and are out to get you. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m not saying that the crew maybe was short sided in their decision to leave without your crew, but there’s other variables outside the things your barking about on here that your not privy to. Those variables could have been very well and probable the reason why, what happened, happened.

As to my distaste for Delta crews, there are some great guys at Delta (including family members and long time family friends of mine), but 6 years interacting with Delta crews on the line has convinced me that they are a minority of the pilot group.

so much covid protocol you guys got going on over there. I wonder why that is. Could it be because half you w jobs won't get the jab so there you are stuck with so many weird covid protocols that I don't see any other airlines doing. Get the vaccine and the protocol goes away. It's that simple. Go back to your own thread hijacker.
