Agreed. A lot of these senior guys seem to have just accepted the fact they're staying here, or are trying to move on but nobody gives them a call or if they get a call, get a no at the interview. I think once all the SSP people go, and we take all the planes we're taking things will move rather slowly. And those that leave for DGI (assuming it actually happens) will only create movement from the middle of the seniority list at best. Assuming DL actually hires more than like 5 people from EDV.

What is the difference in upgrade time between the 200 and 900 in NYC? Assuming someone coming in with 1000 121 time, would it take that much longer to hold the 900?
Also, from reading, it seems the 900 CA RSV pilots are being used more than the 200. Correct?

Thanks.

All NYC upgrade times will be fairly quick, maybe before new-hire training is completed. This is a temporary situation based on many factors. 9E currently has enough qualified FOs to upgrade without using new-hire Captains. quite a number of those FOs are holding out to upgrade for many reasons-waiting to hold a line as Captain, waiting for a certain domicile, etc etc.

The upgrade time may get better or it may get worse depending on the decisions made by holdout FOs. By the time you wait to see "how it will go" will be too late.

Get on board and roll the dice. Be willing to sit FO for a bit if it turns into that or be thrilled when you are insta-Captain.

Unless you want MSP Captain. MSP FO is possible in a year or 2, but MSP Captain requires adult diaper level seniority.

I have no perspective on the utilization question.

I start class on Monday; just doing some planning. I'm happy to sit NYC CA RSV, I live within two hours. I'm just hearing that it might be worth it to wait for the 900.
