Exactly - never mind the literal 1,000s per year killed in multitudes of homicides. But if a white cop (who shouldn’t have had a badge to begin with) does it then the other 700,000 LEOs and the core principle of law and order is at fault too. Therefore rioting and/or civil unrest (or peaceful protests as some call it) is “understandable” as it is at the breaking point since kneeling didn’t work. So it is all condoned and approved. Ridiculous!

I never said things weren't better. And in 40 years they'll be better than I are now. I know it takes time. It also takes movements. Larry and condoleezza (who are both very very conservative pundits) are right, that we've come a long way since the 60's. However they are both very good at deflecting. They both argue that because things are better than I were, there are no more problems. They love to say that because one of the problems is X that Y isn't legitimate. How we got here is way more complicated than these two make it out to be.

Things are better now BECAUSE of the civil rights movement. People thought they were terrorists and anarchists and socialists and communists then too. But their sacrifice and dedication is why we are where we are at today.

People love to talk about going back to the 90's or early 00's when we "didn't have these problems". They existed then too, but we lacked the ability to easily organise and share our experiences like we have now with the internet and social media.

We still have a lot of work to do, and it starts with not taking our foot off the gas. Just like in politics, the media amplifies the loudest voices and often times those people don't speak for me. Listen to the message not the messenger.

Seems like a Bad combination of John Oliver with a pilots license and a inept high school social studies teacher. The 60s were awesome man, free love, light up a doobie, tear down the evil capitalist system man. Back then there were prevalent, real racist with real lynching, firehoses, and discrimination. Today, not so much. We are blessed with a large group that idolizes criminals in popular culture, commits crimes, and then cry foul as victims of racism. Modern racism seen today? Jusee smolett, bubba whatshisface, and Kappernick, are the poster children of this modern day racism and in two of those cases ”lynchings”. But the white supremacists and KKK you cry. Yeah not quite seeing roving bands of clan members in hoods stringing people up because of the color of their skin. Does racism exist today, of course! Is Widespread enough to legitimately declare it a public heath crisis? Not so much.
To end this discussion, you approach of “educating” people through petty statements of “ well did you personally talk with BLM supporters or MLK Jr, yeah, then how would you know” does not a productive discussion make, nor, your views more valid than others. But ‘‘tis a free country so we await your next manifesto.

On a different note, sounds like some AA flight attendants are asking why not with Blue Lives Matter pins. Hopefully, they will allow them, or, better yet, all these airlines ditch all political accouterments and we all get back to work.

What is your goal what is it you want? Obviously any normal person wants equality for everyone and an end to racism. Although that is an ultimate preferred end or result but in the more immediate is it you want everyone to give blanket support of BLM regardless and no question?
If you don't mind to watch another video from Jordan Peterson. Although it pertains to gender inequality it can have aspects of racism. The reason I'm asking and I can't speak how others feel but for me discussing issues of race with members of the black community I feel the way JP does trying to be cornered by questions to get a "ah haa"moment rather then the truth. You can also see questions like an attack.
