Can anyone tell me where the employee parking is in Detroit? Also do I need the parking pass to enter in the lot, or only to exit? I haven't picked up my parking pass but I have an OE trip tomorrow early. Thanks in advance.

Seems very coincidental that we stop bringing airplanes back just in time for upgrade to drop to a few months. Looks like they were trying to avoid street Captains. Once all the hires from the last couple years start building up a little time for upgrade over the next few months it will transition nicely into 2017 to bring 20 more aircraft back and continue teetering on the 300-500 company time upgrade for quite a while. Hence the 9 month upgrade touted in the adds.
Had we continued to bring back a plane or two a month it appears we would surely have hit street captains.
I expect a pretty decent LOA package coming out in a month or two to really separate us from the rest of the industry.

No you need a SIDA badge given to you from the DTW airport authority and the initial paperwork you need to get from base management. So until you can get into the office you will need to park at regular airport parking. I used one of the parking lots that use either the yellow or red shuttles to the airport and got a airline discount and I bet you might be able to get reimbursed before you can get your SIDA badge. Go see or call base management and they can help you get started.

Airlines Parking offers crew rates and frequent shuttles, never had an issue with them.

Just did some quick looking for you, these would be your commute options to NYC.
You have about 14 flights a day to LGA and 4 a day to JFK from CLE.
MCO to JFK you have 14 flights a day, MCO to LGA you have 12.
Someone else can chime in to say that your odds would be rough, but between those four routes you have all the major airlines, plus JetBlue from Orlando. I would take those odds. If it makes you feel better, something crazy like 70% of us NYC based guys and gals are commuters. You're in good company.

We may start to need it. Glad to see the whole "Envoy looks slightly better oh my god the sky is falling here at 9E" movement ended in about 48 hours, but there are some things that really need to be improved here. I like the idea of the stipend for NYC based pilots someone mentioned a few pages back. Wouldn't mind the company paying for my crashpad.

Endeavor is sounding more and more like a decent choice. I do have additional questions about Endeavor if anyone would care to entertain them. I know a few folks personally over at Skywest who genuinely seem happy there as far as commuter QOL etc. which seems remarkable given the negativity a lot of folks have about other places (you find people unhappy anywhere for anything, I get that). I don't personally know anybody at Endeavor positive or negative so it's a great unknown to me. About how many days off are folks getting a month, and is there a long call reserve option like Skywest has?
