Skywest has a far better chance of surviving than Envoy. Unless Tricky Ric turns off the flow.

If the flow is turned off or even stifled Envoy will become a pariah. I would think that would invalidate all the contracts for the bonuses and those that were close to flowing would take the first offer out, as would all others.

But if Envoy does spiral in, there will no longer be a reason for AA to not hire from it’s remains.

No doubt that SKW and RPA have a better chance of surviving. SKW has the advantage of pure size as well as more contracts and RPA at least has multiple contracts.

Of course as many have pointed out before, Mesa seems to be the cockroach of regionals. It will somehow find a way to survive.

What’s the argument for AA to golden parachute us out and not just throw us all onto unemployment?

Are you referring to my comment above?

I think there would just no longer be any reason for them to NOT hire anyone FORMERLY employed by Envoy, but other than that, nothing, not even preferential interviews.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

So a wholly owned that is based in the same city, within miles of AA HQ, is going to go away but a fully independent regional based out of state survives... okay...

Skywest does have the benefit of flying for more companies so their revenue sources are wider.

Envoy, just like every other airline, is struggling to recruit/hire/retain quality staff. How does it help AAG to turn off Envoy's lights? That makes zero sense.

It looks like 5/16 Indoc may be a 29 student class. This could be a very interesting class drop week as it is much larger than previous Indoc class starts.

I would not be surprised to see 145 surface as equipment in the mix with a class this large. (purely my speculation based on recent drops, zero inside knowledge)

When I hear from my friend in 5/16 I'll report here.

back to CBTs for me...

It doesn’t matter if it makes sense or not. If there aren’t enough captains to keep the lights, AAG won’t have a choice.

Riiiiiight..

Let's check back in a year and see if the lights have been turned out.

When will there be a 3 way merger with a 16 year contract?
