I always figured it'd make sense to roll in Piedmont with Envoy since they both have the 145 at least for now.
As for selling a wholly owned it seems to me AA needs all the regional lift they can get their hands on. I could almost see them trying to buy another regional to shore up their numbers.

AAG is reducing 145 flying from Envoy and while I don’t think there have been anymore transfers to PDT for a while that’s where they were going. PSA and PDT would still be two different fleets but keeping all the 145s with Envoy would be the same and that would leave PSA a much smaller flight operation than Envoy so the whipsaw isn’t as effective.
AAG doesn’t want to BUY anything anytime soon they don’t have to. They are swimming in debt. They love RPA and SKW because they can buy the planes and AAG gives them the flying.

I sure hope that holds out.
I am likely the plug in the 5/2 class start date next week. I was 10 of 47 in March 10 orientation but with classes broken up this small I'm likely bottom and even one or two 145 spots likely snag me into that bird.
So weird to be top 25% in orientation but still bottom in class break out. It is what it is I suppose.
I will advise the 5/2 class drop next week.

In March orientation there were:
5 - cadets (they are first for #s)
3 - prior 121 (second group)
39 - everyone else
Everyone gets their seniority numbers in orientation across the three groups.
Me being older than most I was near the top of the third group but behind cadets and prior-121 experience people. Unfortunately the orientation size of 47 (50 in Feb) is too large to start as one class so they break the groups up across 2, 3, or maybe even 4 class start dates.
The class for 5/2 can not be larger than 13 because #14 and I have kept in touch and he doesn't have a class date yet.. so at best I am 10 of 13, perhaps #10 of 10.
Assuming an all 175 drop I have zero heartburn, base doesn't matter to me, I'll suck it up for a bid cycle or two. Either way I am going to make the best of it, learn my stuff and get to flying. I will advise here that evening what the drop was..
Have you interviewed or been to orientation yet?

The other 3/10 folks I keep in touch with have a 5/16 date now. They were in the early middle of the pack of 47. You are likely either 5/30 or 6/13. Enjoy your break..
