You pass training, you fly for 6-9 years, the last 2 years you don't screw up, don't call in sick too much or do anything out of the norm, and if AA is still hiring, you'll go over there. Then you'll spend the rest of your career at a legacy where you got hired after the biggest hiring wave in history of aviation.

Looks like Dera must have been getting Envoy'd a lot recently. I definitely detect a new hint of saltiness in those posts.
New hire at Envoy today... let's say you flow in 8 years, that means AA will have 8000+ people on the seniority list above you that aren't on that list today. And mainline AA pilots aren't exactly the happiest group of people walking around the terminal.
