My suggestion is to no show the DH and request an A pass or nonrev. Other than that I'd say don't do it. Pretty sure FM1 says no alcohol on DHs.

I mean, I have seen FA's change into street cloths and drink a dead head. Is it right, not in my eyes and I certainly wouldn't drink on one. I mean you are being paid so that means you are at work.

You are definitely not allowed to drink on a deadhead. I think there is more mysticism about whether you have to observe the 12 hour rule when the only obstacle is a deadhead, can they deadhead you in the JS?

Rules were made by boring people, for wreckful (reckless) people.

How do RTD and lost days work? If it's a 3-0-4-3 trip and drop an RTD on day 3 will they have me work the last leg on day 1 and deadhead home on day 2. Or will they drop last leg on day 1 and be off until the turn on day 4?

You’re assuming they will approve your RTD request?

That was not the question.

IF they approve it, they should drop touching legs.

If the trip doesn’t transit domicile at all then they will typically build in DHD’s to make it work. Whether that’s contract legal or not I’d have to check.

In past RTD days being dropped in the middle of a 4 day that doesn’t transit domicile would have them drop the entire 4 day. I’ve also seen it where they cut up your trip and build in DHD’s to return you to base for your RTD in the same scenario.

Enjoy the lucky dip and if you think they way they processed it is wrong email [email protected] to follow up.
