Poor Union Communication

Head over to the PDT section and ask their new FOs how well the “pay raise” is working out for them

We don't fly a fleet of 50 seaters. I'm very much assuming the company offered the same blended rates out if the gate, and the union wanted more + reserve/QOL improvements, when they weren't even on the table prior to this. Company responds by saying FU go fly the line, and they haven't met in weeks since.
50 seat rates until about 10-11 months before you flow is what you should expect.

I know how the pay banding works. My argument is that the union has obviously made no ground in over 2 months, and thinks the company will negotiate with them when they have absolutely no obligation to. Now is not the time to rock the ship and have them walk away again. And for those of you counting today is our 5th paycheck since the PSA raise, and technically now the 2nd since the Piedmont (back pay)

Your opinion, just like mine, is one of about 2500 and, just like mine, will be noted.
I do not, however, appreciate you rocking the Union boat, against the MEC’s continued requests to keep the bargaining off of the social media.
Please keep your frustrations in check, spilling them over will not help your paycheck in the long run.

Management here is so reactive that everyone is in the right to express their frustration. There is nothing wrong about advertising the sh*t pay here, PDT/PSA got their rates with no strings attached and rather quickly yet here we are still dragging along as the lowest paid. Yeah don’t negotiate on social media, but nothing wrong with letting potential new hires know what they are getting into by coming to this place.

While the weeks as the lowest paid WO aren’t fun by any stretch of imagination, please keep things in perspective and remember that, more likely than not, we are going to live with whatever rates we get for a while. I’ll take being a few weeks (and, frankly, months) underpaid for years of better pay.

No objections to the rest.
