What are the chances Envoy calls back those of us who have CJO’s for indoc? Could it be summer? I’m guessing it’s anybody’s guess at this point in time...

Considering there are furloughed pilots ahead of you, not very good. Maybe next year. Go find another airline that is hiring now.

It may be sooner than people think. I have a feeling between Frontier and Spirit there will be a not unsubstantial amount of captains bailing out this year.

hopefully they got invites in the last few days because that’s when they went out for frontier

Fair enough for sure, but Spirit is also hiring 400 this year alone, so 20-30 a month. Not saying all are coming from Envoy, but I imagine we have a fair bit of applicants in that pool.

If Envoy secured just 1/5 of the current openings, that's 100 pilots off what I would assume is the top of the seniority list. Is that a ton, no certainly not, but it is start.

Yea probably this summer assuming things keep opening up, and passenger numbers continue to rise. My opinion just based on how things seem to be moving, and just for reference most of these folks are overly pessimistic and were predicting way higher furlough numbers, the collapse of the airline or complete industry collapse. Both of the other WO's are running New Hire classes again, ULCC's and some regionals are beginning to hire again. PAX numbers are going up and they just got more government funding till the fall. I see us being like PSA, calling in the CJO's and Cadets who are ready for classes, and likely not doing any off the street hiring until Q4 or Q1 2022. PAX numbers may not return to 2019 levels for a couple of years but they may get back to 2017-18 levels pretty soon. Like I said it's just my opinion and honestly the pilot group will probably be the last to know what's going on.

yeah only time will tell at this point. We are all just along for the ride lol. My only wish is the company would keep us poolies updated like at the other regionals.

At this point there is basically nothing to update any poolie on. The PSP was only just passed by Congress and hasn’t been signed by Clueless Joe. As others have said, we still have people being paid to sit at home. No one (including Envoy) even really knows what their need is.

Their are other companies already hiring again. Seniority is everything. You may have a horse in the race already as a Envoy cadet, but you’ll probably get to the finish line sooner somewhere else.

yeah for Cadets I think the stipulation is that they have to put you in a class within 3 months from the time you get your 1500 hours or you’re off the hook. (you don’t owe anything to the company as oppose to the 5k I think they charge if you go elsewhere) don’t quote me on that cause it’s been a while but I think that’s how it goes.
