Hiring requirements
Hello - I recently received a thanks, but no thanks from Envoy. 2100 TT, 60 ME. About 100 hours in the past 12 months. Negative CFI/ATP. I was a bit surprised because I thought the TT and ME would get me an interview. Does anyone know what the reason might be for the decline? I'm guessing maybe lack of CFI/ATP, but on airlineinterviews I was seeing people in the same situation getting hired.

Was that before or after an interview?
As others have asked, any issues that are detractors?
If you had an interview, how did you conduct yourself? We’re you prepared for the tech questions and and personable during the HR review? Any less than professional conduct with ANYONE at ANYTIME during the invite and interview process is likely to get you eliminated. As the management is fond of saying, “expect scrutiny”.

Those numbers should get you an interview at any regional.

Yeah there’s got to be more to it. We’re back to the “do you have a pulse” days of 2016/2017.

We always joke about that and it is mostly true. However it doesn't change the basic rule that there is sometimes no logical rhyme or reason to hiring and pilots who seen eminently qualified will be denied for reasons unknown.

While I agree for the most part at higher levels, the regional level, especially Envoy, doesn’t have a lot to discriminate with. Like I said in my first post, it’s usually because you stepped in something. Now, it’s possible you might not have known that’s what it was. I did watch them walk a guy out at my interview and most of us in the room couldn’t stay far enough away from him after about the first 20 minutes because we didn’t want his ilk to rub off. He was probably so arrogant that he didn’t think he was saying anything wrong, though.

I know a guy that got the tbnt email a few months back. I don’t know him well enough to say for sure he doesn’t have any red flags that would show up on his application but it would surprise me if he had something big enough to be rejected by Envoy. I don’t really keep up with the hiring stuff but when he asked me about it I think we were still just bringing back furloughs so I told him to keep applying. But it has occurred to me that perhaps its as simple as accidentally having a box checked incorrectly or imputing some data wrong. I’d suggest anyone getting a tbnt that doesn’t have obvious issues to go back over the application carefully.
