More bases would be ideal, absolutely. But if we're going to only have two, I'm glad they are in major cities, one of which is affordable. I have no control over how many bases there are here, I merely picked an airline that had desirable bases for my circumstances (in addition to other factors). In my life, those two cities are desirable. Better, for me than PSA, Piedmont, and some others. Maybe new hires will agree, and come here for that reason; if Envoy advertises that, great - I love having new hires. I would assume we all do. Just an opinion is all.

Why do you love having new-hires? So mgmt can get their bonuses? You're assumption is wrong. If the smart ones would just stay away and not come to this crap-hole to be on reserve for YEARS (then get the absolute worst schedules in the industry when they finally can hold a line) and wait for a 6-8 year upgrade and a fantasy flow to AA.... then maybe, just maybe mgmt might want to improve our conditions.

Let them scrutinize me all they want. Who cares? I have done this several times. I need a specific day off, I put in to swap that reserve day with every day off... multiple times... denied denied denied. I put in for a PVD... denied. Fine. I tried everything... Sick.

If you're that unhappy and unwilling to put up with the bs that we're all enduring, then go somewhere else. Or get involved to try and make changes. Crying like a baby on an internet forum makes you look like a weak person and hurts the great reputation that our pilot group has.

Upgrade just dropped to 6 years and by the time it gets to a new hire I would conservatively say 3 years. Flow is projected at 6, not 10. Envoy is a great place to start your career if you're young, are okay with DFW/ORD, and are looking to end up at legacy airline. Nothing is stopping you from applying to Delta, United, FedEx, UPS, Southwest, Alaska, etc; (which guys/girls are leaving for all the time from here) but if they don't call or you don't want to bust your ass and network for that interview, then there's always the flow waiting for you when your time comes.

I wonder how much you're going to be complaining when you're getting paid 250k/year to work half the month crossing the pond? I'm not saying I disagree with your gripes, but this career is a marathon and not a sprint.
