Ask ole ag386 about how he got fired from Envoy. It's a fun story to say the least.
Hey ag386...want to chime in? Tell everyone about your termination hearing. Tell everyone how you bawled your eyes out in the Chief Pilot's office.
Better yet, tell everyone how you spent the next 2 weeks calling everyone and anyone in ALPA who would take your call, begging them to get your job at Envoy back.
I've seen sour grapes before, but you take the gold prize. You have no one to blame for your termination but yourself. Move on, kid.
In the spirit of moving on, 11 started class today. Congrats to all. That's 22 for the month.

Upgrade DID NOT drop to 6 years. The junior captain was hired in 2008. That's 8 years ago. Sure, a few 2010 hires have been AWARDED upgrade in the bid, but they are not captains yet; they are still first officers. The 2010 haven't even been to captain training yet.

Don't knock it too hard. What's to prevent the company from offering a 250 pilot upgrade but not putting people in class until 2018? They got the upgrade down to 5.5 years, didn't they? It's just a technicality they don't physically move to the left seat for a year and a half.
I doubt the company would pull a stunt like this, it'd be as transparent as could be.

Upgrade just dropped to 6 years and by the time it gets to a new hire I would conservatively say 3 years. Flow is projected at 6, not 10. Envoy is a great place to start your career if you're young, are okay with DFW/ORD, and are looking to end up at legacy airline. Nothing is stopping you from applying to Delta, United, FedEx, UPS, Southwest, Alaska, etc; (which guys/girls are leaving for all the time from here) but if they don't call or you don't want to bust your ass and network for that interview, then there's always the flow waiting for you when your time comes.
The flow is projected at 6? How are you going to flow in 6 if you upgrade in 8? Fuzzy math compadre.
