Correct. In all total, it'll end up being $15,000.
With the Cadet Program, since the first $5,000 is "Tuition Reimbursement" and paid in installments ($1000, $750, or $500 depending on your ATP/RATP status), it'll be tax-free. In order to receive the full $5,000 in tuition reimbursement, you must have 500 hours TT or less (the installments start at 500 TT then paid every 100 hrs thereafter). This also requires a 1-year commitment to be at Envoy after new hire training.

Does Envoy go to Aerosim to pick and interview people or do you have to go to Irving?

You can interview when a recruiter is there on campus or Envoy will pay for you to go to Irving to get it done. I think no matter what, you'll have to come to Irving anyway to finalize paperwork and what not. Might as well take a small vacay to the DFW.

Face it. Gone are the days of getting hired at Eagle with it being your second regional after flight instruction and flying night cargo. For that matter I don't think it's any worse or better than what we've had before. Think of all those "characters" that are or were employed here. They were brought on as experienced pilots, too.

True. I find that this hypocritical industry is deafening. I'm not sure whose idea it was but that photo isn't very convincing of professionalism. It looks like they were found on the street corner. Plus it makes the pilots look worse compared to the agent in CMH who saved someone's life and the new GM for MAF. I'm sure it was a last minute idea that wasn't thought out prior. Of course I'm sure that's how our managers view all of us anyways. Well we treat them as such, might as well let them act like it too.
