A couple of points to clarify:
We are not "overstaffed" per se. People throw that word around too much on this forum. We are what is known as "front loaded". Which means we have staffing for anticipated extra flying and anticipated upgrades/attrition through the flow. However much our pilot group "shrinks" at this point is anticipated to come via flow to AA while the addition of new aircraft (E175) and return of old aircraft (E145) will need staffing.
I have heard the CRJs will be staying, although I don't know how many. The -145s at TSA and ExpressJet are anticipated to return. I haven't heard anything official about extra -175s other than that we are the logical airline to take on more E175 flying if the need arises. The "nudge, nudge, wink, wink" moment in this discussion came in regards to Republic and their downward spiral. Especially in regards to the MIA flying.
Over 30 should flow in January and there is another group here in December. The plan is to flow over 30 per month for all of 2016/2017.
That's all I have now. I would like to say that if I get any more information I will post it here....but honestly my desire to actually provide any kind of useful information on this forum is near ZERO at this point. All we end up doing is arguing with people who don't even work at Envoy but think they know more than those of us who do. APC forums are a complete circus show.

Semantics.
Front loaded = extra staffing for future planned losses.
In other words, we are deliberately overstaffed with the expectation of future attrition.
Call it what you want, it's a good move on management's part to keep the pilots in their back pockets for the planned movement. Too bad that our QOL has to take such a brutal hit to make it work.

I am in the pipeline and just got hired for class in January. I am stoked! The reasons I picked the Envoy pipeline are almost too many to list.
First, I'll upgrade in 2 1/2 years and flow to AA in 6. With just that, why would anybody go to another regional? Essentially my interview was a one time shot that puts me in an AA cockpit in 6 years! It was discussed that it was my AA interview at the time so does that make me an AA pilot from day one as others have mentioned when I start class?
In addition, Envoy has an industry leading contract and brand new E-175's already online. I'm hoping to get an E-175 class right out of the gate!
