Default New Envoy Information

If someone from the recent classes could answer this, it would be great. What has been the typical cut off age for guys getting e175 (I know the assignment is based off birthdate) and do the older gentlemen consistently go with the 175 or have you seen some of them go with 145 or crj?

Also how do you pick aircraft and base assignment at training? Is it just like a list your top three (aircraft/base)? Or what?

They write all the openings on the board.
Ex: 12 175 DFW, 6 E145 ORD, 18 E145 LGA, 6 CRJ ORD

Then as people from the top pick their base/equipment they mark the slots down. You get the pick of what's left when you're called. In my class the 175 was the first 6 slots taken and that was a month and a half ago. I'd say youngest 175 was right around 40. Last two classss got a handful of 175s and the rest for LGA. I think they wanted 75 FOs and they're probably right around that so with such a large class coming in on the 19th it's really anyone's guess what they'll offer.

In my class we had 10 slots for the 175. The first person picked 145 LGA. The youngest to the 175 was 36.

I have seen a lot on these boards about bad schedules at Envoy...Was wondering if that applies to all aircraft? Does the 175 for example have better schedules than the other airframes? Also how long is RSV on the 175? And on average how many days off do lineholders get? I understand min is 11.

Reserve will not be long at all for those hired now. The problem is that when your senior enough to be able to bid a line they may be so bad that you prefer reserve.

The automation comes quickly. You probably will end up teaching your 60 year old geezer captain!
