Currently, envoy's most junior Captain = 8.5 years. Most junior flow through = 16+ years. Recent announcement is strictly bait to attract new hires.
Reserve life at envoy sucks. Hard line-holder at envoy also sucks. Mostly non-commutable 4-day trips with 11 days off a month. No duty or trip rigs.
Horrible quality of life at envoy right now. I'd seek elsewhere.

Currently, you are correct. But with the significant (albeit unbalanced) pay bumps/bonuses combined with the flow/move-to-other-airline outflows, it appears very likely that in a year both upgrade and flow numbers will be half as long as they are now. I am sure that the 40 per month flow will be capped at some point, but it looks like they are trying to make good on the 2.5-5 promise of Charlie Bucket.
If I were a prospective new hire, I'd choose historical facts over a company salesman spouting 'it appears very likely' we'll fail.

Here is a quick workup that I did regarding the comparative pay rates for all the major regional carriers. I looked at 5 and 10 year total compensation with regards to bonuses, upgrade times, and per diem. Obviously things like defined benefits and overtime/hidden-time income can't be taken into account. Go here for the financial workup. It is a little surprising.

In any event, thanks, and nice work running the numbers. The results are definitely a little surprising.

As it turns out, their doomsday prophecies haven't come to fruition. In fact they become even more unlikely as moves like this continue to be made in support of the flow. There are a number of valid grievances with company, but this isn't one.

You're not dealing with your daddy's AMR. At every step of the way for the past two years, people have said AAG won't follow through. "They'll make you grieve it", they said.

It's easy to throw money at new hires in the way of bonuses. But tell me how your pending grievances are shaking out? How's the reserve grievance? Are they also going to fix all the major QOL issues? Schedules? Work rules? The list goes on and on... what else is there to go off of other than history? Everything else is just speculation and wishful thinking.
Not even 2 years ago the concessionary contract was finally ratified. Why was that nescessary? And to think you actually trust what the company says?!! Remember they had to have those longevity caps!! Now what?

Most of the companies were around 75 hour min per month. I just figured 1,000 credit hours a year on average, including OT, JM, hidden pay, et al. It's an approximation obviously.

No it's not, but it's now DP's AMR (AAG)...

We might not like it, but this is what the industry is morphing into.
