Now, is it logical to think that if they continue to not hire enough pilot that they will A) continue the established course increasing compensation and incentives to attract the needed pilots or B) completely reverse course on established solutions to the staffing problem and do the one thing that would instantly make staffing even worse?

Seriously guys, if you are not smart enough to figure this stuff out, please apply at Mesa.
If you think that management decisions are based at all in pilot logic, then you obviously have not paid much attention to history.

That's the whole point of offering nearly 60k to new hires. To bring them in. If that doesn't work I'm sure other initiatives will be taken, airplanes flying means money coming in so AAG has reasons to offer these incentives to new hires.

I'm betting the shrinking is done and we get more new hires than we have been able to for the last couple of years.
So all of this taken into consideration, then that means that pilots in the After DOS group probably won't hit their five year plan. Is that correct?

Okay Skyvector. If you truly know the answers to my questions then why don't you take a swing at them? You seem to know everything so instead of digging up past posts of mine why don't you take the time to respond to my questions and concerns. The answer is because you don't want to admit that there probably will be a major slow down in the flow. The $58k will probably bring a fair amount of pilots to Envoy but I'm sure that there will not be enough for this flow through to work for the After DOS group. Another major factor that pilots include in their selection process of which regional to go to is also a little thing called stability and I can tell you that Envoy does not have an excellent track record of being very stable. Also, it's fairly evident that you need to brush up on your knowledge of Corporate America. Maybe watch the movies "Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room" and "Inside Job" just for you to see what business is truly like. Because people who work in management aren't thinking of ways to better their workforce, they are thinking of ways to better their own wallets.

Where is this "if Envoy can't staff" scenario coming from? What do y'all not understand about our new hire numbers that have been posted over and over again. We have larger and larger classes every month and are now averaging 35-40 quality new hires a month. And that is before this pay increase.
If you think flow is such a bad thing to have, then go somewhere else. Good luck getting hired at a legacy in front of the 8,000 regional captains that have way more experience.

Are you in the 121 world? what gives you this insight thst the hiring will start and then slow? But here is one way to "better a wallet" lose abunch of 12 -16 year captains and replace them with 6 year FOs that's pretty big savings for a company.

I suppose that's why you were posting in the Compass thread asking how hard it would be to become CP or assistant CP.

You don't even work for an airline yet and you think you're worthy of such a position.

Do us a favor and don't bother with envoy.

He's not.

He also doesn't understand that occasionally management's agenda lines up with the pilots'. Occasionally.

It's coming from him because apparently people still can't wrap their heads around the fact that management wasn't going to be able to staff it, yet they chose to fix their shortcomings to maintain the status quo rather than just throw up their hands in defeat.

If they wanted to stop the flow, they already had plenty of opportunities to do so.
