If they are on property already at first year, yes.
But all current f/o's on property that already got the first 20k will not get anything from the second round 20k just those who missed out the first time

This is correct. When you flow you start at the bottom of the pilot seniority list, but your years of service as an American Airlines employee carries over. That counts for retirement, but your vacation starts over.

There aren't usually. However, when 40 per month leave on a regular basis, they WILL eventually have to upgrade that many per month. And it's going to happen sooner rather than later. If you aren't happy here or with your situation, why don't you apply to Delta or United?

No, even new hires in the future get the retention program. Not just the guys already here who missed out.

I get that you want to be negative about everything, but at least get your facts straight.

Hey guys, i'm breaking into 121 in 4 months and looking at Envoy now.
There's been a lot of talk on here about 30/mo flowing to American, and soon maybe 40/mo, but in the table listed on the airline profiles section it says

the lesser of : 25% of new hires at American (which could reach 1000/yr in the upcoming years)250/yr is 20/mo.

or 5 pilots plus one for every 125 extra pilots on the seniority list. Given a seniority list of 1850 thats approx 15/mo.

Both of these numbers are vastly less than 30-40/month. So what's the deal?

Right now it is 50%. That can be withheld to 30 per month but they can also flow more if American and Envoy desire. Around the middle of next year, it will be 35%, but when we receive our 40th 175, that will trigger the flow to bump back up to 50% but meterable to 25 a month at that point. Once again, they can always do more if agreed upon.
The numbers you are quoting are a few years from now. But, those who get onboard now get to ride the wave of 30 or 40 a month leaving.
The 5.5 year projection takes into consideration the flow through agreement with all its different groups. As long as AA keeps hiring, it will happen. Staffing for Envoy will not be an issue. We put 42 in class last month and will have around 35 this month. And that's all before the new pay structure was announced.

Any ATP data out there? They are the largest provider of DOMESTIC pilot pipeline.
