I've said it before. Even junior LCC guys may be looking at Envoy now with things continuing to improve daily and most of all, for the one interview and express flow to American.

Exciting times at Envoy.

Literally the dumbest post of 2016. No joke.

Anyone else think these recruiters sound like spam bots??

I'm agreeing with you. I was shooting down dacuj 2.5. jan 2011 hires don't go to capt upgrade till April. Dacuj skips that part.

They sound more like the guys in the recruitment Dept. That don't get to do anything. More likely interns. The interns have made more then a few screw ups lately. Why not on here too.

Check out dacuj's posts on his profile. He went so off script, he got lost as to who he was pretending to be.

Because we came down for two days of class and are going home until 1/3 when we come back to finish indoc. This we are home for the holidays, and the schoolhouse can keep their schedule on track.

How does starting class BEFORE Christmas avoid travel and class during the holidays?

My man is trying hard to make that Envoy cool-aid taste sweet.

One bitten, twice shy

Need some advice from you guys/gals that are living it. I was furloughed from Eagle in 2011 after 10 days in training and went to Expressjet and flew for a year, loved it but, pay sucked, had a mortgage, family, child support, maxed out credit cards to survive, so I left the industry and went back to being a cop full time. I have since promoted to Sergeant and am making good money. I fly King Airs on the side and have stayed current. Never thought about returning to a regional, ever ,because of the awful pay so I stopped paying attention to it. A few months ago some friends told me about some of the positive changes in pay in the recent years and the flow to American. Things sound pretty good now. I know I will have to take a pay cut for a few years if I return. My question for y'all, is it worth it to walk away from my current (stable) career, rank, lifestyle for Envoy? I will never make 6 figures in my agency (Chief doesn't even make 100K) and the retirement sucks. 25 - 35 year veteran officer still can't afford to retire. I want to give my son a better life than I had, which wasn't bad at all. I am locked to Texas because of my child custody and want DFW, preferably in the 175 but I don't think that will go my way at 33 years of age. Regionals need pilots more than I need a job right now, but I don't want to miss my chance getting back in at a good time. Once bitten, twice shy. Help me decide!

First of all all thank you for your service and all you do for our communities. The 175 might be out of your reach and I am glad you can see that. But you can bid the 145 in any other base and then bid for DFW. Not only do you get DFW but you get an extra 5k in your pockets. Just like you said, you will take a pay cut initially but over time you will make that back. If you don't do it now, you will always regret it. I don't mean that in a bad way. Is that every person I know that has been bitten by the aviation bug and gets out is always looking for a way back in. I say come back.

Thanks criticalaoa. How long do you think it would take me to get back to DFW in the 145?

Any where from 7 months to a year. But with all the movement we are having that time can drop big time.
