$Billz I couldn't agree more.

Vacancy- how can they offer 100 spots for FOs in DFW??? They have 60+ already scheduled to transfer here starting April 1. Then 40 more with this vacancy... are they expecting that much movement? We already have 65 more FOs then lines. FO reserve list is twice as big as CAs. I'm kinda hoping this is an indicator of more upgrades per month.

65 upgrades. Very good news for the weekend!! I'm hoping to see 60-70 every two months vs 90+ every three. I wonder how many will bypass the upgrade.

envoy is truly the most horrible place to work. You have guaranteed sick time and try to do the right thing as you are not fit to fly. You are on the list and get Step One.

The company will bring you in to recurrent ground school and tell you about the fatigue rules and how it is responsibility of pilot to recognized fatigued and call. Then you get missed assignment.

First paragraph is accurate. Second paragraph is accurate....unfortunately.

40 LGA 145

Since the last vacancy bid, there have been 85 new hires, and that's across all equipment. Definitely possible that everyone that's been hired onto the 145 (in the past 2 months) could be based in DFW if they want. There may even be new hires from next Monday's class who get DFW awarded. Make sure you have your vacancy bid preferences in. Not saying it is guaranteed, but possible.

Excited to see that. Fingers crossed.

That's the short version but there were some smaller details that occurred, but still nothing to warrant termination. I hope he gets millions from the back pay and wrongful damages.

I'd also like to note the Rep was one of the most vocal against the company's abusive power. Go figure.

Can we even travel on AA code shares? British Airways, Iberia, Finnair?

Depending on where they go to Europe, it might not be too bad to get over there with your standby passes. Just have them use their D1 (highest priority pass). If they get stuck, they can buy ZEDs on other airlines. Those are standby status as well.

If you want to buy them confirmed seats, you get a 20% discount on American only (no codeshares).

I'm cheap so there's no way I would buy a ticket. If you are resourceful enough, you can make it work. There are always options available. I'd much rather spend $60 vs $800 for each ticket.

Depending on how old your kids are, there is a chance of them flying business or first. If you buy a ticket, you don't have that luxury. I've gone over there 3 times and have been upgraded 4/6 flights.

Completely untrue... I've always called in sick when unfit to fly and have yet to hear a peep from anyone.

Fatigue calls definitely leave a lot to be desired, more so from a contractual standpoint than a safety standpoint. I won't go into details on a public forum, but I'll agree with you there. I will say though that I have never felt pressured to fly fatigued.

The type of response you receive when calling in sick or fatigued depends a lot on your personal attitude/demeanor when talking with scheduling or the Chief Pilot's office. Just something to think about

And for the record, I am certainly no company cheerleader. The schedules and QOL are unquestionably as bad as ever I've seen them here.

Thanks for the information!

I'm starting in said Feb. 27th class. I'm 28, so getting the 175 is somewhat unrealistic, which I'm okay with.

Anybody have any thoughts on if I should go 145 LGA or ORD? I live in Denver and will be commuting. I've read all of the previous posts, and it seems like LGA reserve is much shorter, as it's picking up more flying and people bid out. And it seems like the block per trip you get out there is better than ORD. But, the commute will certainly be harder. I'm leaning towards LGA since reserve is so much shorter there than ORD, and commuting to reserve doesn't sound like much fun. Then, when my seniority allows holding a line in ORD or DFW, I can bid that. Is that thought process on track, or do you veterans have other insights?

Thanks for everyone's help ahead of time!
