To add on to your post

Current scope with a stable narrowbody mainline fleet of 790 at AA allows for:

590 total RJs
315 Large RJs
275 Small RJs

Between Skywest, PSA and Envoy there are 110 CR7s that will likely be configured to 65 seats to stay in the small RJ category

The 118 ERJs plus 35 PSA CRJs will likely be the long term 50 seaters since those aircraft don't start timing out until the 2020's. Combine those totals, phase out the PDT dash fleet and ARW CR2s and include a few random 140's and SKW CRJs and that equals AA's allowed small RJ total going forward. Additionally, I bet they keep adding CR7 retreads as they become available from other airline contracts since it would be highly unlikely they order anymore fresh from the factory.

118 CR9s and 144 E75s mean there is room for 50ish more large RJs. They're coming, it's just a matter of which type and when.

Hey guys, can anyone give me an idea of schedules over at KLGA? Are they all 4/3-4/4 or can one pick up 2-3 day trips there? I was hoping for variety of trips so that I can be gone for less time at one given time. Deciding between Piedmont and Envoy and live 40 minutes away from KLGA and 1.5 hrs from KPHL. Both offers in hand.

Much Thanks!

At Envoy mostly 4/3 at LGA. There are some 4/2, 3/3, 2-3 back to back 2 day lines, 1-2 day trip lines. Reserve lines are are mix of 5/3 and 4/3. It's a good base and a good pilot group. Parking(due to construction), tolls and traffic are challenges with a drive commute. There will be quick movement in LGA for someone hired today. Congratulations on the offers! Both are good companies to work for.

envoy. No doubt about it because of the faster flow. Its like you have been given the keys to a brand new Ferrari.

Yeah, more like you have been given a Ferrari with no keys, title, or working odometer. I still think the WO's are the best thing going right now if the basing works for you.

PDT is probably faster but I believe may have more provisions for management to "slow the flow".

I think the training should be the big difference in your decision. envoy is still top notch for training. PDT isn't necessarily bad but envoy has been flying the 145 for a long time.
