It's the other way around. But by then, I'll be were you are now, Flying at AA!

I would assume as a new airframe, there was an initial group of pilots that were trained and flying as two captains paired together.

When did Envoy start training first officers for the 175? This should give an idea of when those pilots are eligible for an upgrade to captain. If Envoy does not continue to receive more airframes, pushing guys out the top of the FO stack, then upgrade of current FOs is the only way for movement at the bottom of the reserve list.

The 145s are staying Until 2020 or longer (I have heard 2022) and we are going to be keeping the CRJs longer then thought.

There is movement here and it is going to stay that way. Why do you think they are hiring PSIs? They need to ramp up and keep the training going to accomadate all the flying They have slated.
Know how we know you have no idea about what you mentioned here? You said "announcement"

I believe there will be movement for a while. But I have to ask, what's the source on the CP planes returning?

A D2 is a D2. You always pay taxes. The only time you wouldn't is if you were on a deadhead. I'm 90% sure you'd have to pay them on a 1W also (Jumpseat)). Last time I did it, it was $40 round trip.

The major annoyance (other than the cost), is that you'd need to pay those taxes if you Jumpseat on someone else. That means you need to pay them prior to boarding, you can't just run up to their gate and get on.

I'm sure if you were doing it every week, you'd have a system down, but it's an extra step to consider, so it's annoying.

So one guy was hired in the last class for the 175. There is a backlog with 175 training and deliveries will be done soon. Does this mean the future hires will be on reserve for more than 2 months? If envoy wants to hire a bunch of guys and bring back a ton of 140s from the desert then will new hires have an issue with going to the Barbie jet? I thought it was amusing that new hires were hoping they were old enough to get the 175s in class. I guess the >$20,000 question is what incentives will the union authorize management to spend on bonuses? What's the word on this restricted displacement/proffered displacement language that is being negotiated. I hope 145 guys weren't hoping to displace to the 175.

I don't think new hires were going for the 175, pretty sure it was for the DFW base and it happened to have the 175. No brainer. But yea the only ones that think a 175 is cooler than a 145 haven't flown an RJ. It's all about schedules, not being on reserve and pay. The 145 will have better movement.
