Just show up to class and get your number. In class seniority doesn't matter that much. In a few years or days many of your classmates will have moved on to different opportunities and it is all very dynamic. Just get your seniority ball rolling. Initial bids should not dictates one decision to come to Envoy or not

Once you flow, seniority at AA is determined by age in each class. The only way the 22 year old will be senior at AA is if they flow in a class before you (which could be a possibility if your new hire class is large).

A plane is a plane is a plane, makes no difference IMHO.
Envoy is still your quickest option for MIA.

Unless you get hired by AA at 22 there will always be people senior to you that are younger than you.

If MIA was your goal I think you would still be able to get the 145 assuming you aren’t in your early 20s.

I agree with you on everything else. The 175 scares me with it being new to the company and the recruiter today told me that 80 FOs and 80 Captains will be going to ORD. The recruiter also mentioned that the company was going to try and avoid displacements, but we all know how this industry works.

Just so you know if you are 175 DFW and they open up 175 ORD it doesn't mean the company can switch your base... permanently. It would only be a one month temporary assignment with 24/7 per diem and hotel every night of the month.
The only way they can kick you out of DFW is if they offer a displacement and NO ONE thinks that is going to happen soon.

Also, I'll believe 67 when I see it. That's a large number and I doubt we will ever reach it. I also doubted we would see a sub 6month upgrade.

Awesome I did not know about the temporary assignment thing. Thank you for that info!

Ahhh so it's location, not the bird itself. Thanks for the clarification!

Yes sir, if the CRJ was in all the bases like the 145 I would be all about it.

Me too, it's the best plane in the fleet.

2. Prior 121 - have an opportunity at upgrading very quickly. Rumor of a higher signing bonus.

3 Everyone else - typically older career changers or ex-military whom most likely have more commitments in life and rooted down to an area due to family (ie. not as flexible on assignment).

Now most everyone in group 3 has a big red flag with coming to Envoy while group 1 and 2 were coming here regardless.
Oh come on give me a break. You know the older folks just cared about getting the 175. It's not about commitments or whatever, if they had commitments they wouldn't be coming to a regional anyways. The 50 year old will still be able to hold DFW by getting on the 145.
